📌 Clip & Configuration Guide
This harness features a front (chest) clip. The leash attaches to the D-ring positioned on the chest panel — not on the back. When your dog pulls forward, the front clip redirects their momentum to the side, helping them naturally refocus toward you without pressure on the throat or neck.
Important: This harness is designed with a single front/chest attachment point. It does not include a back clip. Connect your leash only to the chest D-ring for the no-pull effect to work as intended.
📏 How to Measure & Fit Safely
- Measure the chest: Use a soft tape measure around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs. Compare to the size chart above and size up if between measurements.
- Put it on: Slip the vest over your dog's head, bring the two side panels around the chest, and fasten the buckles on both sides.
- Check the fit: Slide two fingers under any strap — snug enough that it won't slip off, loose enough that it doesn't restrict breathing or movement. You should be able to do this comfortably on all sides.
- Adjust the straps: Use the adjustable sliders on the chest and belly straps to fine-tune the fit. Re-check after the first few walks, as the harness may loosen slightly once broken in.
- Inspect before each use: Check buckles and stitching for wear. Do not use a damaged harness.
🐾 Introducing the Harness for Loose-Leash Walking
A harness is a tool that supports training — it works best when paired with consistent, reward-based practice.
- Introduce it at home first. Let your dog sniff and investigate the harness before putting it on. Reward calm curiosity with treats.
- Short indoor sessions. Put the harness on for 5–10 minutes around the house before heading outside. Reward your dog for wearing it calmly.
- Start in low-distraction environments. Begin loose-leash practice in a quiet area before progressing to busier streets or parks.
- Reward the slack leash. The moment the leash goes loose, mark it (with a word like "yes" or a clicker) and reward. This teaches your dog that walking near you is the most rewarding option.
- Stop when they pull. Plant your feet or change direction when tension builds. Reward immediately when they return to your side. Consistency is key.
Note: Equipment does not replace training. The front-clip design assists by redirecting pulling behaviour, but regular positive-reinforcement practice builds the lasting habit of walking calmly on a loose leash.
